Another Backwards Day

So, today was no better than yesterday was. Elaina's saturations have continued to decrease, so today they re-paralyzed her. If she's holding still then she's using less oxygen. The art line in her groin failed, so now she has one in her right ankle. It's not working so well at the moment, so I'm not sure how long its going to last.
Anyway, everything else is still up in the air. They are probably doing her broviac on Wednesday. She has an MRI at noon on Wednesday as well. The results of the MRI will dictate the next step, it may be cath lab, it may be something else. She really isn't doing so well tonight, I've decided to stay at the hospital for now. Her saturations are very low, her lactic acid level is rising and she is on full ventilator support for now. I really do not know what is in store for her at the moment.
All I can do is pray and put my trust in my Heavenly Father.

I'm so sorry to hear that it was another tough day. How quickly these little ones bounce up and down. I'm praying that she will bounce "up" by tomorrow!

Right there with you in spirit, Hollie. I'm praying for your little girl and sending lots of love your way. I've been following the blog for a while, since Liz begged our prayers on AllDoulas. Know that you are being lifted up in prayer all day every day and that we all send everything we can to Elaina for strength. Meg, Minnesota

Praying, praying, praying...

I wish I didn't live all the way across the country so that I could come & sit with you. I know how draining it can be to just sit & wait. Know that we are praying for Elaina(& you) every chance we get. She is being lifted up across the country.

"He sent His word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions." (Psalm 107:20)

"And the LORD will take away from thee all sickness..." (Deuteronomy 7:15)

Know that we are keeping lifted up. Feel free to call if you need to talk (419)738-3468.

Lots of prayer, love & hugs
Tina & Vaeh, Jon & Gabby, too

I've been following you guys for a while (directed here from Vaeh's site) and I stand with you in prayer for your little girl. Prayer can work miracles, so we will just believe that everything will be ok. Hang in there, I know this must be a scary time for you. Know that GOD is holding Elaina in His hands tightly and taking very good care of her.

Sending you prayers and love!! xoxo

Thinking of you and sweet little Elaina and all of her ever-increasing battle-wounds and scars. I feel so bad for her to have to endure so much. I continue to pray for her daily. You must be totally drained. I hope things start improving soon. Heart Hugs, Djinni

oh...our little princess.
She's making those docs work for their money...huh??

You guys will continue to be in our prayers...I hope the extra vent support helps her, and the MRI shows what the next step in her "plan" should be....

Love,
Kathy

My prayers are going out to you all. Elaina is just trying to get some extra attention. Those little lungs just need some extra help for the time being. I'm praying for wisdom over your doctors and nurses to make the figure out what hte next step will be.

I wish I was there to comfort you during this time. My heart goes out to you having to endure so much with your precious baby girl. Give Elaina some loves from us!

Oh Hollie, I am thinking of you. I had planned on coming up this week and seeing you for a bit, getting away from home, but I have a horrible sinus infection that has kept me in bed the last two days.

Know that you are in our prayers. I check in on you every day.

Also, remember to hold tight to those promises in those blessings. Don't loose faith. I know it's hard when you are sitting there in the PICU all the time, but I know you can do it.

Miracles DO happen. We have living proof of that. Sometimes I don't think the Dr.'s give our kids enough credit for their will to live.

We love you guys.
